Our story
The vision
Dr. Gil Caroto returns to Madeira with a clear idea: to raise the standard of Dentistry in the region, bringing the rigor of his path in Lisbon, the experience alongside leading specialists, and a dedication to occlusion—starting clinical practice on Rua da Figueira Preta as the first step toward a new way of caring.
The start of a project
IPRO — the Institute of Prosthetics and Oral Rehabilitation — is born, an innovative concept in Madeira with multiple services in one space and a more integrated, rigorous approach focused on the patient’s global rehabilitation.
The laboratory
The search for greater precision leads to the creation of LPM — Laboratório de Prótese da Madeira — ensuring more control over the process, more customized solutions and a faster rhythm between clinic and technology.
Mais Clinic is born
The vision grows: Mais Clinic brings different specialties together in one place, simplifying the patient journey and offering a global approach to health with comfort, quality and proximity.
Clinical innovation
Mais Clinic expands its scope and performs one of the first hair transplants in the region, reinforcing the commitment to follow medical evolution and patient needs with confidence—all in one place.

Dentist with decades of clinical practice, lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry of Lisbon and member of the UK General Dental Council. Founded IPRO Clinic in 2000 and expanded his vision into Mais Clinic in 2015.
